Applewood Ridge is a spacious new vacation home located just minutes from Charlottesville, Virginia, close to Pippin Hill Farm and Winery, in beautiful North Garden. The light filled 2BR 2BA home is conveniently located just off Rt 29, across the highway from Albemarle Cider Works. Pippin Hill and Dr. Ho’s Pizza are less than a mile away.

Good to know

The brand new home contains two bedrooms and two baths, and sleeps 4 adults. Two queen bedrooms (one with an en suite full bathroom) are located on the second floor. The ground level contains a kitchen, open dining and living room, full bathroom, laundry closet, and a deck with pergola and outdoor seating. The house is fully stocked with linens, stoneware dishes, pot and pans, kitchen appliances, as well as extra pillows and blankets. There is a 40" Roku enabled TV in living room (bring your own login info for Netflix, etc). High speed wi-fi. Hardwood floors throughout. Hosts on site in entirely separate space, but are available if needed.

The guest home is conveniently located just off Rt 29, and due to this, there may be highway noise. The home is typically quiet inside, and white sound machines are located in bedrooms as an amenity. This home is in a rural setting but is not isolated completely- neighbors within view. Amber’s home was modern, clean and overall perfect for our weekend getaway. Amber was extremely responsive and helpful. The house is a short drive to tons of great local wineries. Would absolutely recommend!

Amber & Dylan’s house is wonderful and we will definitely stay there again. Amber is a fantastic host and is incredibly proactive and responsive with communication. One of the best things about the house is its location. North Garden is close to both wineries on 151 and activities and events in Charlottesville. Better yet, if you like Cider, Potter’s is a couple miles down the road and Albemarle Cider is literally right across the road from the house. One of the most beautiful wineries, Pippin Hill is also close. The house is beautiful, and comfortably furnished. The beds are comfortable and the closets offer good space. The water pressure is excellent and the bathrooms both have good space. The deck is a great place to sit and enjoy the peaceful outside space. The kitchen is well stocked and offers great space for prepping and cooking. And, the dining space offers a sizable table with seating for six. We highly recommend a stay here.

Highly recommend staying here. We hadn’t been to Charlottesville but wanted a place central to wineries and the town, but peaceful. This place delivered, it was peaceful, very clean, and exactly what we were looking for in a place. 15 mins to town, winery and cider place across the street, or winery row about 20 mins away. Amber was incredibly responsive to all questions and provided amazing recommendations. She was also flexible and able to address all needs. My friend and I felt very comfortable, it was the perfect spot and exactly what we were looking for — honestly far better than any of the hotel/b&b/resort options we were evaluating. Would stay here again!

The home is very well-appointed and beautifully decorated. As a host, Amber is fantastic. She is very responsive and has all her bases covered. The home can be a bit difficult to find from the highway, but Amber’s directions were very helpful and we found the place without much trouble. Overall, an excellent place to spend a weekend and enjoy what the Charlottesville area has to offer.

This house is a total gem! It sits right on the winery path, and is a gorgeous forest oasis. While it’s conveniently close to the highway, it’s removed enough that I didn’t get any road noise. The host family is super kind and Dylan is a great steward, living right next door to answer any questions. The hosts have truly thought of everything—amenities, wifi, a guide to local attractions, snacks. The house is also newly built and beautifully decorated. It’s clean, comfy, homey, and full of natural light. Especially beautiful in the morning. All the appliances are state-of-the-art, and the bed? Comfy as heck. Also worth mentioning—I felt very safe and protected, even though I stayed alone as a single woman. Great vibes all around. This is a rare and beautiful property, and I can’t recommend staying here enough…and going to Dr Ho’s Humble Pie!

Amber was dream host! Amber by far was the most communicative and thoughtful of hosts I’ve interacted with! The home had every possible detail you could need. This past weekend my allergies were intense, and Amber had something for that, some of my favorite tea! Not to mention, my jaw dropped to the floor as soon as I walked in the door at the interior style of the home; so beautiful, clean, and SO COMFORTABLE! I love interior design that is both aesthetically beautiful and clean, this was BOTH, rare find! I really enjoyed that Amber had a visitors guide of what I could do while I stayed there. I got to visit Potter’s Craft Cider which I’ve wanted to do for YEARS! Loved the location, super convenient to go in and out of Charlottesville, and the home still has some privacy from all of that. This Airbnb checks all of the boxes, literally! Check in was super easy and after a long drive that’s exactly what I needed and more, just a good life reset. I would 100% recommend staying here!!

Amber is super communicative and kind, and answered questions about the home before I booked. Check in was easy with the smart lock, too. Amber even provided a little welcome basket with some snacks which was such a nice surprise! The bed was super comfortable. The whole place was peaceful, comfortable and stylish. I especially liked the chandeliers! And the place was stocked with anything you’d need. I’d love to stay here again!
